Carlton has been dealt a potential massive injury blow, with Harry McKay subbed out of his side’s Elimination Final against Sydney after a heavy collision with Swan Tom McCartin.
Late in the third term, McCartin backed into a pack in Sydney’s defensive 50 and met McKay in a heavy clash between the two key position players.
McKay was floored for some time after the incident and grimacing in pain as he had to be treated to by medicos, who eventually helped him off the field.

“Harry does not look good at all,” Channel 7 caller James Brayshaw said.
If the 25-year old is found to have suffered a concussion, he’d be sidelined for a minimum 12 days under league protocols.
Though McKay had a couple of horror misses on the night, his absence would leave a huge void in Carlton’s forward line, not only for the remainder of Friday night, but for a potential semi-final meeting with Melbourne next week.
“That’s him gone,” Channel 7 commentator Brian Taylor added.
“Gone for the game and gone for next week, if there is a next week.”
McKay missed four games late in the season due to a knee injury.
