Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that the decision to substitute Fabio Vieira at the interval was tactical.
The Portuguese got the nod over Kai Havertz in the three-man midfield, but he failed to create any notable chances.
At the break, he was one of those replaced by Arteta alongside Declan Rice.
While Rice was taken off with a back problem, the Gunners boss revealed that Vieira’s substitution was a tactical one.
Havertz replaced him at the half-time interval of the north London derby, but the German failed to influence the game.
